Looking for an experienced hands-on database architect to assist the product teams in implementing the optimum solutions to align the internal and external stakeholder requirements. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Understanding of Customer strategies and business requirements
  • Create Architectural technologies and business roadmap that result in strong business / IT alignment and drive adoption and usage of technology across the enterprise
  • Collaborate with key other infra domain, presales, and customer architect.
  • Assist Product Management with the development, management, and communication of the product roadmap to both internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Implementation and management of SQL and NoSQL databases and their data protection/security requirements
  • Hardening and performance tuning databases on-prem and/or in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Implementation of distributed computing paradigm models, data warehouse/data lake technology, and business intelligence concepts
  • Migration of Relational, No-SQL, Big Data Databases and hands-on experience with multiple databases like PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Oracle, MS SQL Server, and NoSQL (HBase / Cassandra, MongoDB)

Requirements (Qualifications/Experience/Competencies)

  • 12+ years of overall work experience in the commercial and/or enterprise IT space as a database administrator, professional services engineer, database field engineer, or product specialist.
  • Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and their data protection & security needs.
  • Implementation or Architect level certification in DBMS
  • Experience creating scripts using languages such as Python, PowerShell, Go and JavaScript preferred.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms and Data protection
  • Excellent verbal, written, and technical presentation skills with experience in writing complex documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science
