Job Details
We are seeking a proactive and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role requires a solid foundation in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, automation, and system administration. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support scalable and secure applications across multiple environments.
Key responsibilities:
Cloud & Infrastructure Management
- Manage and optimize
cloud infrastructure across platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Handle services such as
compute engines, databases, managed services, message queues, and VPCs.
Containerization & Orchestration
- Deploy and manage
Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
- Use tools such as
Kubernetes, Docker, and Podman for orchestration and container lifecycle
management.
System Administration & Automation
- Administer Linux servers
to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Implement and manage
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and GitHub.
CI/CD & DevOps Automation
- Design, build, and
maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure
DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Automate application
deployments and system configurations.
Database & Networking
- Administer and optimize
SQL databases, ensuring backup and recovery.
- Configure and maintain
network components including firewalls, routers, and switches.
Monitoring & Logging
- Set up monitoring,
alerting, and logging systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and
the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
Security & Compliance
- Apply knowledge of
security standards to protect infrastructure and ensure compliance.
- Implement access
controls, audit logs, and infrastructure hardening.
Requirements (Qualifications/Experience/Competencies)
- Minimum 3 years of
experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Systems
Engineering role.
- Proficiency with one or
more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong knowledge of
Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
- Experience with
containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Podman.
- Hands-on experience in
Linux system administration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD
tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.
- Scripting knowledge
(e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
- Experience with
monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Understanding of
networking, firewalls, and security best practices.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Helm,
ArgoCD, or other GitOps tools.
- Exposure to SRE
practices or incident management frameworks.
- Cloud
certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, GCP DevOps, etc.)
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving
and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication
and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work
independently and in cross-functional teams.
