We are seeking a tech-savvy PHP Intern who is eager to bridge the gap between traditional backend development and modern AI workflows. This role is designed for a forward-thinking  recent graduate who not only wants to learn robust PHP coding but is also passionate about using Prompt Engineering and AI tools to accelerate development and solve complex problems. You will work alongside experienced developers to build scalable applications while helping us pioneer AI-integrated engineering workflows.

Key responsibilities:

Core Development & Learning

Code Assistance: Write clean, basic PHP scripts and assist in maintaining server-side logic under the guidance of senior mentors.

Documentation: Create technical documentation that is optimized for both human understanding and AI-assisted context (LLM-friendly docs).

Testing & Maintenance: Assist in troubleshooting bugs and performing unit tests to ensure application reliability.

Lifecycle Participation: Engage in all phases of the development lifecycle, from initial brainstorming to deployment.

 AI & Prompt Engineering Integration

AI-Assisted Coding: Actively use AI tools (e.g., Claude, Antigravity, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT,) to generate boilerplate code, refactor functions, and explain complex logic.

Prompt Optimization: Experiment with and refine prompts to ensure AI-generated code meets our security and style standards.

Automation: Help the team identify routine tasks that can be automated through AI or smart scripts to improve overall productivity.

Innovation & Knowledge Sharing

Trend Tracking: Stay updated on the latest PHP features and emerging AI/LLM trends.
Collaborative Learning: Participate in code reviews and share "prompting tips" with the team to foster an AI-first culture.

Requirements (Qualifications/Experience/Competencies)

Recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
PHP Basics: Foundational knowledge of PHP syntax, variables, loops, and basic database interactions (MySQL).
Web Fundamentals: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
AI Interest: High proficiency in using AI chat interfaces and a strong curiosity about Prompt Engineering techniques.

Frameworks & Modern Tooling (A Plus)
Basic exposure to the Laravel framework.
Understanding of Git for version control.
Exposure to API concepts (REST).

Soft Skills
Critical Thinking: The ability to verify and debug AI-generated code rather than following it blindly.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain logic and collaborate on prompts.
Adaptability: A "fast-learner" mindset ready to pivot as AI tools evolve.
